We try to take in as many homeless animals off the street as possible and try to provide shelter for them. Our facility's size is limited and we can safely handle only so many animals. Many have to remain outside.
We house as many homeless animals we can. We do not believe in caging our animals and do not use cages except in special situations. We have a strict no-kill policy.
Some of our cats and dogs also have become comfort animals in a neighboring human care facility.
We provide local medical treatment for our animals whenever posssible, but we also take our animals to the emergency facilities as needed. We also spay and neuter our animals when possible. Medical treatment and food are among our biggest monthly expenses.
We encourage people to adopt or foster our animals. This will help us to save more homeless animals. If you are interested in possibly doing this, please see our contact page to contact us.
We recently obtained an exemption from the IRS as a 501(c) organization and now qualify to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under IRS code sections 2055, 2106, or 2522.We are classified by the IRS as a public charity.
